


It began with a family house, researching its occupants, an interest in Local History and joining a Family History Society. Then thanks to an unexpected career change the opportunity to design and create Family History activities just over twenty years ago.
Starting teaching in the days of libraries full of film and fiche, before migrating into computers then the internet and now fully committed to online delivery.
A speaker at major virtual events such as The Genealogy Show, RootsTech, The Family History Show, and The Really Useful Family History Show, Jackie runs online Courses for various organisations including the WEA.
Still promoting local groups through the Yorkshire Group of Family History Societies, a member of the Historians Collaborate Group, the Guild of One Name Studies, Bradford, Calderdale, Doncaster, Kent and Wakefield FHSs and the British Association for Local History.
